One of the most hated men in America was shot yesterday

Yesterday, George Zimmerman was shot in the face by a man that got into what was being called a “road rage” incident with the controversial Floridian, best known for being acquitted in the shooting death of unarmed Trayvon Martin in 2012.

Details were murky yesterday, and several unsubstantiated reports claimed Zimmerman was involved in a “police shooting,” but today we know that wasn’t the case. the bullet that flew through Zimmerman’s car window, injuring him, was shot by a man namedMatthew Apperson, who’d allegedly gotten in what’s being referred to as a “road rage” incident with Zimmerman a year before.

According to Apperson, he acted in self-defense, which will make the details of the Orlando authorities’ investigation even more interesting once they’re released.
