Last ‘Cocaine Cowboy’ caught

Officials say the last member of South Florida’s so-called “Cocaine Cowboys” has been arrested after 26 years on the run.

Gustavo Falcon, the brother of one of Miami’s most notorious drug traffickers, was arrested Wednesday without incident.

Officials say they tracked down Falcon after learning that he had been using an alias and fraudulent driver’s license for years.

Falcon was charged in 1991 with smuggling roughly 75 tons of cocaine into the U.S. over a 13-year period.

His brother, Augusto “Willie” Falcon, and another man were also charged and are serving lengthy prison terms.
