Lakers Land 6th Man of the Year, Lou Williams

The reported deal is worth $21 million over three years. Williams averaged 15.5 points and 2.0 assists in 80 games last season for the Raptors.

There are no details yet about potential team/player options.

The Lakers backcourt is becoming a bit crowded with Lou joining D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson and Kobe Bryant, but the 28-year-old Williams should still approach the 25.2 minutes per game he averaged last season.

Until his role is clarified, owners should consider him a late-round target for 3-pointers.

Williams’ agent Wallace Prather completed the deal with Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak on Sunday.

Let’s hope Mitch can find away to get Nick Young out of town.
