Japanese ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ trailer debuts with new footage

A few weeks ago, we saw what we all thought was the last trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, but on the morning of November 6th, via Disney Studios Official Channel in Japan, a new trailer debuted and it is amazing.

It focuses mostly on Rey (Daisy Ridley) and BB-8 in the first 30 seconds and then it shifts to clips we have seen before in various trailers and some truly awesome shots from the Jakku sky. Jakku is one of the many regions where we see Rey, Finn (John Boyega) and BB-8. Jakku is a desert planet located in a remote section of the Outer Rim Territories, the planet is known to cater to thieves, outlaws and scavengers like Rey.

Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) has a new scene where he is seen attacking Rey, it appears to be the same planet where we saw Finn and Kylo face off at the end of the final United States trailer. As with the others, there is dynamic voice over on several scenes which make you wonder even more the connections to the Skywalker family. The family tone and theme is even more present in the latest installment. We still have not seen a glimpse of Luke yet, leaving many people to keep wondering if he has went to the dark side.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opens Dec. 18, 2015.
