Gilroy Costco Says Shoppers May Have Been Exposed to Measles

An employee at the Costco in Gilroy said Sunday that some customers at their warehouse may have been exposed to measles.

The employee told NBC Bay Area that one of their members called them to say a member was diagnosed with measles. And a Santa Clara Valley Public Health Department spokesperson has confirmed that an adult with measles who was still in the infectious period shopped at the Costco.

The infected person may have also visited a Walmart, located across the street, and a restaurant in the area. The name of the restaurant has not been revealed.

The store is warning customers through fliers that if they were inside the store at 7251 Camino Arroyo on Jan. 18 between the hours of 4 to 6 p.m., they may have been exposed to measles.
