Ebola scare holds plane at JFK following flight from Abu Dhabi

Tuesday evening’s program saw Erin Burnett go “OutFront” with some late breaking news, as a plane was held at JFK after a passenger started exhibiting symptoms.

During the flight from Abu Dhabi to the New York City airport, sources tell CNN an infant started coughing up blood  – prompting officials, already on high alert for any potential influx of the Ebola virus into the US — to have the baby evaluated, and the plane cleared.

Further examinations revealed that the baby was dehydrated. The incident shows fear over the spread of Ebola is mounting. Another patient remains hospitalized in New York’s Mt. Sinai Hospital while doctors attempt to rule out Ebola as the cause of his symptoms.
