15 People from the Entertainment Industry to Watch in 2015 and Beyond

It is still hard for me to fathom that it has been 5 years since 2010. I feel like it has barely been 5 years since 2001, but none the less here we are in twenty fifteen.

It is very difficult to predict the future, but the Pluto Daily wanted to give our best educated guess. The guesstimate in question is our 15 people in the entertainment to watch for in 2015 and beyond. We wanted to pick people that we knew would be relevant not just for 2015, but for many years to come.

It was a fun but painstaking process. Starting with 300+ people selected and narrowing it down to just 15 took up the majority of our weekly skype meetings. The arguing and bantering was a great ice breaker for our new writers joining the team and those that have been with myself and Shah Jahan since we launched TPD way back in 2010.

We didn’t want to have any easy picks, but we also knew that we wanted to be right about all 15.

That was a very difficult task.

It would be easy to pick an NBA player like Lebron James or Kevin Durant, two stars now who will probably be stars throughout the teen years, 2016-17-18-19 etc. It would be easy to grab an already known journalist or author and throw them on our list, but we wanted more than that. Taking any musician from a show like The Voice with a major label deal would be too easy.

We wanted to find game changers, forward thinkers, outside the outside of the box type of entrepreneurs.

We also wanted to have a few guidelines and/or rules for this process.

1. We wanted these people to be doing things in their field that others aren’t doing now, but others will be mimicking later.

2. We wanted to make sure that our list of 15 weren’t one dimensional. We wanted musicians that could write and sing, athletes doing good on and off the court or in and out of the ring, label owners that had a different outlook on the industry.

3. Game Changers. We really stressed this, and voted on on this as much as we could. The reason is, anybody can follow a path to success, but who can create that path?

4. Lastly, we wanted to include all forms of entertainment, from movie directors to authors to poets, musicians, label owners, website owners, to athletes including NBA ballers and a boxer. Entertainment has changed so much that everybody with a smart phone has a music store in their pocket with the ability to watch videos anytime. All of those factors and more played into our list of these 15 individuals.

It was a difficult decision for everybody involved, but it was also a fun process for all of us. Although nobody can predict the future and we will have errors and mistakes, we really feel like these are the best 15 people in the entertainment industry to watch for 2015 and beyond.

So without any farther ado, The Pluto Daily presents, in no order at all, the 15 people to watch for in the entertainment industry for 2015 and beyond:
